Serasa seabad sudah musim MotoGP 2009 berlalu, bahkan menunggu musim 2009 pun serasa seabad lagi, mungkin itu yang dirasakan oleh para MotoGP mania, mengingat musim 2009 ini baru akan dimulai pada pertengahan April, Satu bulan lebih lambat dari seri awal musim 2008.
Berikut adalah Kalender Resmi MotoGP musim 2009 yang sudah resmin dikeluarkan oleh FIM (Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme) yang juga menyatakan bahwa Seri Hongaria dibatalkan karena dipastikan sirkuit tersebut belum akan siap untuk digunakan tahun ini.:

2009 FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix
Cancellation of the Hungarian Grand Prix
The Grand Prix of Hungary scheduled on September 20 is cancelled and will not be replaced in 2009. The FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix will therefore consist of 17 events only in 2009 and the Hungarian Grand Prix will be rescheduled in the 2010 calendar.
